Most of the times, when people see an update, they see it as a nuisance. Oh no, what now? It will total ruin my preferred button configuration or colors, I like the old version. I’ve heard them all. Still, many do not know that updates also include tons of security updates.

In simple words when the code of software or app is broken that leads to un-secure scenarios than as soon as the company acknowledges that (and always the do, unfortunately) they want to push an update to fix it. You might sometimes have an update that is only for security purposes and sometimes is combined. Nevertheless, remember to:

  1. Update your stuff regularly. You might be even tempted to add auto updates that will fix themselves during the night, for example.




  2. Delete any unused software or apps as that if left unpatched can potentially harm yours.
